UPDATE ADDED OCTOBER 5th:
Hey Everybody!!!
Please note that our October Show will not be held on the 11th, it has been changed to Saturday the 18th. We have pushed the date back one week. We apologize if this creates a problem for any of you...This was not a change that we anticipated nor made easily. We appreciate your understanding with this. Also, if you ahve not done so already, please call our club President, Steve Powell, to reserve your space(s) for our Annual End-of-the-Year Banquer. After the show on the 18th we will be having our yearly dinner and will hand out the class awards. You won't want to miss this, it is always a fun time! We will need to know how many people we'll be serving dinner to, so please, please, please give Steve a call and let him know who you are and how many spaces you want to reserve for dinne. Thank You for letting us know, it really helps us to get things done efficiently. We look forward to seeing everyone there, and ya'll get ready for a great time of fun and celebration!!
Check It Out..... Added July 9th!!!
The Top Hand Awards this year will be done by nomination. At the August show there will be nomination sheets out and you guys, the club members, will have the opportunity to nominate whom you think deserves the award. At the September show we will have a list with the names that were most nominated and then you all will get to vote again! The results will be announced at the year-end banquet and the winner will be awarded with the 2008 Top Hand Award. Please do participate in both opportunities to vote so that we will have a full representation of the club. If you guys don't vote then we can't nominate anyone, so please do remember to vote, and vote for those whom you think best represent the top hand (i.e. arena help, turnback, etc...).
NEW Update: added June 7th.
We would like to inform you that due to rising cattle costs, hay costs, and other economic factors, we have had to make several small changes to the pricing of our class fees. The club has not made any changes like these in many years, and would not have done so if changes in the economy did not dicate that we do so. On our "2008 Entry form" page, you will find a link to the NEW entry form that will be effective as of our upcoming show, Saturday, June 21st.
We really appreciate your continued support for the club, and hope that this minor change will not affect your participation in our shows.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact any of our board members, we will gladly address any questions you may have.
Again, thank you for your continued support of this club, we could not be where we are, and share this encouraging fellowship and fun, without all of your continued support.
Thank You,
RCCHA

This year, Mike Rawlins has awesomely donated a saddle as the year-end award for the Champion 2000 Limited class. How cool is that?! We have still only just begun this season so those of you who are currently riding in this class, or are planning too, make sure that you get out to every show and make every run count.
From the board of the RCCHA... THANK YOU MIKE!!! And to all of our club members, if you see Mike out at the shows, please make sure to give him a big 'Thank you' for doing this; we are all very excited, and you riders in this class should be too!!!
***Also, as a side note, you have all probably noticed that the results for the March 15th show have not been posted yet. This is due to some technical problems that I have been unable to iron out as of yet. However, I am doing my best to get that information posted as soon as possible. You will probably have received your monthly mailer by now, so you will know your standings from that. Please accept my sincerest apologies for this delay, I will have everything worked out and current as soon as I possibly can. Thank you for your patience...***
IMPORTANT REMINDER:
Please remember that due to show policy and insurance requirements, all riders on the show grounds on show day must have a current membership with the Riverside County Cutting Horse Association. Also, all horses being shown must be under their owner's membership, regardless of whether or not the actual owner is showing or riding. This means that if you are showing, riding turn-back in the arena, or are simply cruisin' that warm-up area, or if you are showing or riding a horse that is not yours, then you and the horse you are riding must be under a current individual or family membership. Memberships may be purchased on any show day at the show office. So, if you do not currently have a membership, then please see the ladies at the show office on the April 19th show, and they will be happy to assist you with that. If you already have a membership for 2008, then we thank you in advance for your membership with the club!! We appreciate all of your cooperation in helping each show to run safely and smoothly and the club to be an enjoyable one for all...

REGARDING THE MARCH 15th SHOW:
We would like to inform you that there was a mistake with our office paperwork regarding the 2000 LTD class on March 15th. According to our records, it seems that rather than charging $75 per entry for this class, we charged entrants only $30 per entry. Due to this mistake, the payout for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place riders was considerably less than it should have been. The correction for this problem will not be printed in the April newsletter as that has already been sent out. However, if you were one of the riders who placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the 2000 LTD class, then please see the secretary at show office during the April show so that you can be paid the difference. With the amount of work that it takes to put these shows on it is always possible that mistakes can be made, so we thank you for your understanding and appreciate your patience in this matter.

Exciting news for riders in the upcoming APRIL 19th show's 750 LTD and Open Geldings Classes!
Tony's Hay & Grain has generously donated gift certificates to the club to offer as additional prizes. Therefore, we will be giving (1) Gift Certificate to the winner of the 750 Limited Class, and (1) Gift Certificate to the winner of the Open Geldings Class. Each gift certificate is worth $25 and is valid through June 2008. With the price of hay going up, and the fact that your horses don't want to eat any less despite that, we know that you will want to try to win these gift certificates!! So tune your horses up and be the first to enter these classes in April because you will definitely want to win this!
